Today we are going back to the Delta where it all started. Deep in the fertile valley where what we know to be blues music took shape there was a man named Robert Johnson. Little is known about his life outside of one recording he did that served as the foundation for so many different generations of blues players, and today it is I who felt his spirit in the form of this blues in D. Every time I listen to him play I get inspired, every time I pick up a guitar and work through some of his music I get inspired, he does so many things that I love and bringing those ideas over to the Ukulele is something that I enjoy immensely and I am always surprised by how much fun it is and how much I continue to learn about this music and the Ukulele anytime I do something like this. This style isn't a strumming style of Ukulele, it is rooted this driving finger style rhythms that mix licks, runs, fingerpicking and multiple shapes of the same chord to take just a 3 chord loop and make it come alive.
