Todays tutorial has 4 themes, but the Underground theme has two versions with both a low and high G, here are the links

All 4 themes - Time Stamps are Links

  • Underground Theme - High G (0:33
  • Underground Theme - Low G (4:07
  • Invincible Theme - (7:01
  • Power Down - (10:50
  • Game Over - (12:03)

In my opinion Mario has the most iconic video game soundtrack of any video game every made... and it isn't even close. There are some honorable mentions, the modern scores of the new video games of today are extremely well produced and played... but when it comes to who the legend is, it is no contest, it isn't even close.

For this tutorial we are going learn 4 more themes from the song, and the Underground theme we are going to learn how to play it on both the Low G and the High G ukulele. In addition to the classic and dark underground theme we are also going to learn the invincible theme, the one that plays after you get a star, we are going to learn the game over theme, which is probably my favorite and lastly we are going to learn the power down theme, which much to my surprise was very cool.

Will Improve

  • Octaves
  • Strange time signatures - 6/4
  • Hammer Ons
  • Playing at high BPM - 190
  • 8th note triplets
  • 1/4 note triplets
  • Syncopation
  • Right hand dynamics

Really good memories! My Dad bought us a Nintendo and my two sisters and I played all day and my dad took it back the next day while we were at school! Hahahaha, pretty tough regulations for a now retired guy that spends his day fiddling around with this i-phone haha.
