Start of October with sort of a melancholy, leaves changing reflective style tune. Shady Grove! This is a great example of how you can take a G minor and use to different shapes of the same chord to move the melody up the neck. I really enjoy this one everyone, beautiful melody, I hope you like it as much as I do!

What do you think about making an mp3 of the songs you teach us? This would be very helpful for practicing. Thanks!

It's a good idea. I am going to have to evaluate exactly how I'm going to put these MP3s together, but it is a great idea. Let me think about it and I'll see exactly how I can do that.

The chord melody version of Shady Grove sounds great. Just one observation about the strumming version: you say the UD etc. patterns so fast I can't follow. For me it is sort of like when someone on an answering machine leave a phone number so quickly I have no idea who to call back. I would find it very helpful if when you are explaining about strums you would show on the screen or in the pdf the actually strumming pattern something like DUDUmUD or whatever it is. Thanks for considering. Just had another thought, do you have tutorials on strumming? If so, is there an easy way to find them?
