Today we are going to learn how to play the D minor pentatonic scale and we are also going to learn how to play the D Blues scale and the difference. To put it into play we are going to play it as a fill up and down and break down the difference between the two scales. That way you are able to use the scale to create fills while playing alone and you can also use it to solo when you are jamming with your friends. This is also how you would make melody with friends, one of you plays the chords and the other one just lets it fly with the scale. You can also play along with backing tracks on youtube, there are a 1000s of them, just get on youtube and search for blues backing tracks in D and let it fly!

I just wanted to say quickly that this is designed for anybody to participate and functions as a mast blues class in the key of D with tabs, which will be free, for everyone one. These sequential blues lessons will connect all the dots, take away the mystery, and leave playing the blues in the key of D like a professional. 1. Step one, watch the videos. 2. All the tabs associated with the blues challenge are free. 3. Record yourself playing that lesson. It doesn't matter how well it is performed, it is just an effort, all you have to do is try your hardest. Could you explain why you name F and C notes flat 3rd and flat 7th ? Do you mean that 3rd would be f# and 7th c# ? because of the half step between e & f and b & c notes ? Thank's Tyler !
