New Ukulele Tutorials every Wednesday and Saturday. This one was a massive project, but wow I love the final results. This song does have a chorus and a verse, but it is also unique in that only the 1st and 2nd chorus are exactly the same, the song is full of these little variances and changes in the melody and harmony that make it very dynamic and fun to play. It is in Gm and the song is in 6/8 but there are many times when it switches over to G major as well as 9/8, and for the record this is the only song that I have ever played that has used the time signature 9/8, it is like Seal just got in and started riffing, letting go all his emotion and not worrying at all about the actual structure of the song. The tutorial will teach you how to play the song note for note, tab for tab, but it is a massive tutorial and a very slow process, so you will have to be patient as I walk you through it and try to master each individual section at a time, because it really is a massive project, but it is beautiful and one that is sure to captivate the attention of your friends.
