What was your favorite all time superbowl show? Tell us in the comments below.

This song has some NSFW language for sure, I censored the tabs just in case you have young kids at home that find them, but I just wanted to give a heads up to anyone that has never heard the song not on the radio and maybe you have some young kids in your house

The halftime show that had every millennial talking, any human born between in the mid 80s and all their brothers and sisters were dancing on super bowl Sunday with a line up of all star hip-hop royalty taking the stage. This, of course includes Detroit's finest, Mr. Marshall Mathers, Eminem, aka Slim Shady.

This can be broken down into just one 2 bar loop throughout the entire song with a basic drum beat playing on the quarter beats. Each chord last two beats and that is it... or is it? The chord progression is F minor but turns the minor pentatonic into major chords and layers a very cool octave riff over the top of it. In this tutorial we will walk you through how to play My Name Is by Eminem with the chords on the screen, the strum pattern and then after we will show how to play the riff with the tabs on the screen and lastly just because I have your attention I am also going to teach you how to play the bass line just in case you want to add something else to the tutorial, you can also play the U-Bass or the bass, too after you learned the bass lick. In a way this is also kind of a Dr Dre Ukulele tutorial as well just because of the giant impact that Dre had on Eminem's career. Later on Eminem became a great producer in his own right and did some beats that sounded amazing like Toy Solider for example, but Eminem's best work is and has always been rapping on a Dr Dre Beat. In fairness to Dr Dre, his best work is also probably when Eminem is rapping on one of his beats as well.

Will Improve

  • Moving the G shape around the fretboard
  • Muting with the thumb
  • Strumming in 16ths
  • Adding rest to your strum patterns
  • Playing Octaves

Very cool thanks for sharing the original song I’ve never heard it. It might make for a good guitar tutorial in the future
