So, first off I know it is Friday but this is Wednesday's lesson, sorry. Good news though, we are continuing our scale to solo series with double stops. The progression is based on and inspired by the chord progression used by Chris Stapleton in Tennessee Whiskey so you could go and solo over that song if you would like to hear these ideas in a more musicial context. The idea is that you see how to use these double stops and bigger intervals and mix them with scales, slides, hammer ons and all that fun stuff!

Will improve

  • Use of chord tones
  • Double Stops
  • b3rd, 3rd, 4th and 6th intervals
  • Creating motifs
  • Jimi Hendrix style swagger
