Aerosmith - I Don't Want to Miss a Thing (Patreon)

We are trying something new with this lesson today and we are spending some extra time on the vocal phrasing to make sure you are able to sing through the chorus and verse with the quick changes. Let me know what you think. 

Today we are going to learn how to play "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith which was a massive hit song for the massive movie Armageddon, and lucky for us it is an easy beginner song. Having said that there are some tiny wrinkles in it that will make it a little more difficult than "a great first song" level beginner. So, what are some of those wrinkles? The bridge has a key change with a Bb, there is also a B minor and during the chorus there is an interesting change where the A only last one beat, meaning it is 3 beats of G then a quick change to A on the way to D.   

What we will do is walk you through all these pieces strum for strum and we are going to spend some extra time with the vocal phrasing so that way you can nail the singing portion. After the play alongs we will really slow things down and look at exactly how to strum and sing through these pieces.
