Today we are going to learn how to play "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder. This song has a sweet, high energy riff that functions as the bass for the harmony of the entire verse. It can be a little tricky to learn to sing and play at the same time, but the key is to learn the riff and really master it before even trying. So we will teach you how to play the riff first, note for note, take it nice and slow until we work it up to game speed of 97 BPM, once we get there we will play it with a backing track.
After that the only thing left is to learn the chords. The chords is a very interesting chord progression as it is almost a vamp, but the chord doesn't static, but it isn't a chord progression really either, it moves up chromatically one half step from B7 to C7, and then it just moves down a chromatic movement C7, B7, Bb7, A7 rings out for a little bit and jumps back up to B7 our five chord, before ripping right back into the riff. So cool.
