We already taught the original strumming version, so if you are looking to just strum and sing the song, with very cool fingerpicking intro and the interlude, you can check out that lesson here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKUpy... It is finally here! Today we are going to learn how to play the solo to "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica on the Ukulele. We are going to learn it bar for bar, note for note, working our way through the solo slowly so no matter what your skill level, if you can read tabs you can learn to play the solo. The key is to just take it slow and keep it in time, don't move on until you have mastered the measure that you are playing. Once you have mastered each measure you will be able to play this solo and really show off your lead chops.
We will kick off the tutorial with a review of the harmony and the strum pattern so that way if you are playing with a friend one of you can strum the rhythm part and the other can play the solo. Making your jam sessions that much more interesting, epic and fun! After the whole solo. The song is in 6/8, so that will take a little bit of getting used to but we will go nice and slow. Measure for measure we will do 2 bar solos, so we will teach measure 1 and 2 and then a solo. Measure 3 then measure 4, then 3 and 4 together and the everything up to that point. Adding two measures at a time and reviewing until we have all 10 measures under our fingers at which point we will do a play-along counting out loud and then again, no counting with a backing track that I made.
