Today we are going to learn how to play "Behind Blue Eyes" that was also famously covered by Lip Bizkit around the turn of the millennia. This song isn't really hard with respect to technique, but it is tricky in the sense that it is comprehensives, it has a lot of changes, with even a tempo change from 60 beats per minute to 120 beats per minute in the middle of the song.

We will walk you through the whole song piece by piece, the intro, verse, chorus and bridge plus a really nice riff in the E Major Pentatonic that has some unique bends, bends and release and bends and holding bends playing other notes and then bending back down. The fingerpicking is in 16th notes, we have suspended chords, we add9 chords and all kinds of little pieces of color as well to make it more fun. In the bridge there are lot of changes on the up strum as well, so as you learning how to play this song make sure you take the time to learn each piece slowly and individually and then you can put it all together and play it with the original recording.

Learning how to play Behind Blue Eyes on the ukulele will take some time, it isn't overly hard, but it will take some time. This song is a ton of fun to play, you can do it just stick with it, take your time, don't get frustrated, take it piece by piece and you'll get there!

Somehow you always find the songs that I’ve silently wished I could eventually play!
