We are going to teach the song in the original key of Ab, but beneath the chords I have I also included the chords for for the much easier version in G. So you can choose which version is best for you. If you have a capo you can put it on the first fret and the easy chords will match the original recording. If you don't no worries, you will just be playing in a different key, the song will still sound great and like the original recording, you just won't be able to play with the record.

The piano riff is a great example of how you can use just three of the strings to still play the triad, the rhythm is a great example of an 8th note finger picking that you can use when writing your own songs, playing a duet an arranging music for multiple ukuleles, or just trying make a cover a little more unique. Enjoy!

Clocks - Coldplay - Easy Beginner Ukulele Tutorial with Tabs

New Ukulele Tutorials every Wednesday and Saturday Today we are going to learn how to play "Clocks" by Coldplay on the Ukulele. This classic song instantly transports me back in time to the start of high school when my friend Grant would sing this song all over the school halls. Grant and his brother Calvin were always in trouble, always in detention, and always just joking when they are singing, but they had amazing voices too. If they would've have wanted to they would have made great singers in a band. Hi Tyler :) when I play this using the easy chords with the capo on the first fret, it sounds absolutely wacky and out of tune, especially the D chord. Any tips? I think I’m doing something wrong.

Never mind I figured it out 😄 I had the capo on, but I was still playing on the same frets instead of moving down one. I figured it out when I got to the F chord, which would be impossible to play while the capo is on the first fret. Don’t mind me, I’m super new 😁 thanks for being awesome!

It is okay! Keep the questions coming if you have them, I am happy to hear that you figured it out.
