Today we are going to learn how to play the classic theme by John Williams for Jurassic Park on the Ukulele in a chord melody finger style arrangement. This song is in the key of Bb and based largely on a basic move that goes from the Bb to the A back to the Bb. That three note basic movement, as simplistic as it is, is the basis for song. There is variation, most of it diatonic, nothing to fancy. There is one sus4 of the IV chord, adding the augmented 6th interval to the song, a very marked noise in the chorus over the Ebsus4 that creates a bit of interest and a memorable melody.
The only part that is tricky is the second half of the chorus when have to play a lot of C notes over the Bb chord, the best way to do that is by using the F shape and once you get to that C note you remove your ring finger and play the 5th fret of the G string as your finger is already barring that fret and ready to play the C note.
