My friends, do you write our own music? If you do please link your youtube, spotify or instagram accounts, we would love to hear! All the support for my channel is lovely and I want to make sure I can support your creative efforts as well.

If you don't, but you want to, all jokes aside what is stopping you? If it is technical maybe I have a tutorial that can help you out and I have a tutorial on the subject so please comment below!

Stay safe everyone! #MakeTheMostOfItChallenge

I write the lyrics or the poetry, and I can usually sing the song consistently how I want it to sound but putting the notes or the cords down is the hard part for me. I have started to play with some simple cord progressions and have written down a few but that has not lead to any songs with vocal verses at this point. Which comes first the words or the notes/cords? Or is it a chicken and egg kind of thing. No real exact answer to the process.?

They both work. Some people always do melody first, some people always do chords first, some people aways do lyrics first, most do a combination of the three. Sometimes I have a lyric in my head and it becomes a song in 10 minutes, sometimes I have a nice melody in my mind and it takes a long time to get the lyrics that match the quality of the melody. Experiment with them and find the one that works best for you, and if you ever get stuck in a rut mix it up and try a new technique, it is a great way to smash through writers block

I started playing ukelele about 3 months ago. I wrote my first song last week and I’m working on another one this week! My ukelele playing isn’t anything extravagant, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come! My Instagram is @aishagirlll and the one I wrote is the most recent post I have!
