Today we are talking blues (get ready for the #10DayBluesChallenge starting the 1st!) and we are playing some slide blues in the standard tuning. We will walk you through an intermediate style blues rhythm with hammering on the major 3rd from the minor third and some muting action. After that we will look at adding a basic little fill that functions as rhythm as well, sliding up to the root and down to the b7th, so even though while it looks like a little solo or lick it is funtioning as rhythm. From there we will extend the idea to the IV chord, the D7 chord, and how to use the D5 has a double stop rhythm there. Lastly we take it to the house with a tasty turnaround that has some sliding, triplets, drone notes, hammer ons and going up to the high E, down to the 4th, and the b5th (so bluesy) and up to the 5th. This one may feel overwhelming at first but take it slow and you'll nail it!
