New Ukulele Tutorials every Wednesday and Saturday, subscribe and learn! Today we are going to learn how to play Vienna by Billy Joel on the Ukulele. This is one of my favorite Billy Joel songs, from my favorite Billy Joel album, Strangers. This song is in the key of G minor and Billy sings that high G note effortlessly, but that is something that takes quite a bit more effort on my part and to be honest it would sound a lot better for me if I were to sing this song in D minor, as with most baritone voices, but we will teach it to you in Billy's original key! As always we will walk through the whole song, including that crazy piano intro when we do our best to nail all of Billy's quick rolls and other tasty piano style playing into our Ukulele. We will walk you through some other pieces as well, including the chorus when we will try and nail what Billy Joel is doing with the bass line and hit that walking bass on the way down with the Ukulele.
