Alright, time to break down Hallelujah. Written by Leonard Cohen it didn't receive a lot of initial success but it would later be covered by John Cale and by Jeff Buckely and would go on to be much more popular. It also achieved quite a bit of success. You have heard it in the movie Shrek as well. What is great about this song is that it is in 6/8 and fingerpicking on the Ukulele in 6/8 happens naturally and easily. All you really have to do is go up in the notes and back down fingerpicking and it sounds fantastic. So we will walk you through the fingerpicking pattern for the Ukulele nice and slowly and once you have all of the chords and fingerpicking pattern we just put them in order and you will have learned Hallelujah for your Ukulele, by the most comprehensive Ukulele on the Internet, in no time!
