Doing our first two part video (how exciting!) and we are breaking down how to write your own melody on the Ukulele. I will be showing you a step by step process that I used to create a fairly basic, but still rewarding and fun melody. At the end I will give you a frame work of how to build your own melody simliar. I'd love to hear it! After you write your melody upload it to instagram and tag me at @tenthumbspro. Next week I will show you how to harmonize the melody making our very own chord melody! The PDF will help a lot with this lesson so make sure to have it printed out before you get rocking!

Great lesson Tyler! QUESTION: I was working in the Key of E and didn't use the 3rd interval in any of the melody bars and when I went to resolve it at the end of song verse the 4th interval sounded better than the root note. I didn't make much sense to me when the 4th interval is our unstable sound. I'm now in the process of adding chords.

Great lesson. Tylor's explanation style is straightforward and concise. Thank you I will go to the harmonizing section now.
