The Wind Cries Mary - Jimi Hendrix Ukulele Tutorial - How To Play Ukulele Songs

Alright, grab your Ukulele it is time to learn a classic jam by one of my all time favorites Jimi Hendrix. It is a bonus lesson to because I have decided to teach something that I call chordal fills. A chordal fill or hot-spot are a series of notes that sound great over a certain chord in a progression. So while you are jamming you can pause for a second and than play a riff or a chordal fill and than go back into the chord progression and this sounds great. If you understand how to move barre chords than you can understand how to move chord progressions and you can move these fills with any song you want! That is what I call Jimifying a song. This song also has something called chromatic movements, which are notes or chords moving by just the semitone. This is what is happening in the intro and it sounds great. Did you know what at tenthumbspro.com we do a different song every Wednesday and Saturday? We have technique as well like Ukulele Blues, advanced strumming, skype lessons and everything you need to do to improve your skills and talent as a Ukulele player. All you have to do is go to the website, watch and learn, because it is free! (Except for the one-on-one skype lessons of course, they have a price, contact as to see what that price is.) Alright everybody, enjoy this weeks Saturday jam.
