Marrying her I knew was the best decision of my life. My parents had always told me, the most important thing is to marry someone you truly love, that you can really see a future with. And with Ariel, I knew I had that.

My job was boring, but that was fine. I just needed something to pay the bills, something to make me feel secure enough for her. Honestly I felt like it was so easy anyone could do it, just banking nonsense. Her job was just nonsense allocating state money. Our work lives would be boring, but that was fine.

We'd talked, and we both knew we wanted to start a family. From there, given the security of our jobs, and our blooming love, I rushed in and said I wanted to get married.

It was only a year after we hooked up that I was hearing those vows... "and they shall become one flesh."

I'd never really understood all the theological stuff, but we'd both wanted a very conventional, 'normal' wedding, even though neither of us was very religious.

Little did I know just how literal those words were. Little did I know about the best kept secret in the world, the Wedding Secret.
