Hi,

after some mission system code hiccups in the first version the current beta 3 is running nicely. I am in the middle of a full play through to catch all issues and introduced a bunch of QoL items along the way that hopefully improve the experience.

  • Reminder marks on the space map for locations to deliver TODAY
  • New storage dot system to allow for better bot sorting in the dots (added a small discord video)
  • Faster trigger of Pirate Base quest
  • +20 / +40 IQ boosts for Gen 2 / Gen 3 cortex
  • and much more...

R.E. the updated Bot Storage UI, can I swap bots by clicking an already full slot? In video you're always careful to put away the current bot before getting out the other one.

To avoid the confusion of swapping I decided to remove the store button and allow store into an empty dot. flows more natural but sometimes it needs second click. And, more important, ensures that you only have 10 bots and not 10 in storage and one in the config

IMHO an even simpler flow would be to auto assign a slot when creating a new bot (and/or the player selects an empty slot before being able to create). Then there's no need to confirm if there's enough space before creating a new bot, and no need to remember to store the bot before closing the menu.

I like the second part. Remember where you picked the bot from and you can close the configurator and it gets put back in its spot. Saves the annoyoing message when you leave the config. Will check to get that into V0.6 still.

I don’t like bot’s escape possibility. Is it really necessary? 🤔

Is is the general concept or the difficulty to keep it under control with immobilizers? In V0.6 there will be 3 grades of immobilizers, the best one reducing escape by 20%. So at maximum with 2 of these you can control your bot. The price of bots sharply incraeses with IQ. The escape probability is a kind of trade-off, or it would be too easy to make awesome bots. If you chose compliant ones, they will have no escape prob in V0.6 as long as their IQ is 170 or less
