Hi,

finally I got all mechanics I need to work correctly in the combat mini game tech trial. I used pygame render canvas for the (very basic) effect anims  (same as for the space travel screen in the current build)

I've added a short video below.

MEGA Video

It shows

  • maneuvering and line of sight
  • weapon use from load out slots (torpedoes and laser),
  • enemy counterattacks and
  • loot collection.

GUI is rudimetary as it has not been integrated into the main game yet.

I'll put that aside now and can start with the new locations for V0.5 after finishing V0.4 EA Phase two build.

Tomorrow I'll start fixing CRQ (only a few submitted) and build the V0.4 EA Phase Two Release for 24.03.
