Catsuka Special (video report) : Yoichi Kotabe & Heidi in Switzerland (Patreon)

Here's an early access to a Catsuka content that was produced thanks to your support on Patreon.

This is a "Catsuka Special" video report (with english subtitles) dedicated to legendary japanese animator Yoichi Kotabe, who traveled in Switzerland some weeks ago to visit "Heidi in Japan" exhibition that took place in Zurich National Museum from july to october 2019.

Yoichi Kotabe worked on Heidi TV series (1974) with Isao Takahata & Hayao Miyazaki, and 45 years ago they traveled together to do location scouting for the series.

Mr Kotabe is known as one of the best animation director and character designer of the early years of Toei Animation studio (Horus, Puss 'n Boots...), he was involved in Panda Kopanda, Marco, Jarinko Chie ... and he also worked during many years for Nintendo (he created Yoshi & Wario designs, and collaborated on famous games like Super Mario, Zelda and Pokemon).

In this report, Yoichi Kotabe is sharing a lot of touching memories about "Heidi" series, which was a huge success outside Japan, and especially in Switzerland.

For this 2019 new trip in Switzerland, Mr Kotabe came with Mrs Takahata (the director's widow), and producer Junzo Nakajima. Takahata's son was also there.

I'm very proud to present this video, which was shot and edited by my friend Alex Pilot (who was in charge of Nolife channel where I directed Catsuka TV show during 8 years, before the channel closed).

I launched this Patreon as a simple support in everything I already undertake with Catsuka.
Even if I don't provide regular exclusive rewards, I wanted to produce special contents from time to time.
