I'm gradually getting back to work and have already made great progress on the new line!

Honestly, I'm still scared to walk, even with crutches, but I'm practicing

I'm worried that because of the painkillers I won't feel when the load on my leg becomes too much

So I came up with a plan, I stopped taking painkillers yesterday and started training with dumbbells while seated to feel the pain in the muscles above. Thus, now I hardly feel pain in my leg, mainly discomfort. If it becomes unbearable to feel, then of course I will go back to the pills

I think everything is going well, I'm mostly scared! ,_,

It’s normal to feel afraid after an injury like that. I myself feel the same about mine. My inside left ankle is wonder color of bruising. I still got tenderness in the over stretched ligaments but my walking has improved to a slight hobble kind of matches my age. Good on stopping the docs high strength pain meds. It’s okay to feel pain as you rehab the leg. Keep it light and work on mobility. Strength will come back over time. Don’t rush it. Just because it feels better.😁

Being scared is okay. Take it one day at a time and work on your physiotherapy at whatever pace is comfortable to you. Don't rush it, don't overwork the injury else cause prolonged recovery. Take care of yourself, and don't stress ❤️
