Yep!! She will meet with the King's justice soon'ish.....

Its something Green Sauce brought up in the Pirate's commission post and since we have been talking about tech aspects I thought I'd touch on it again here. This is how I'd prefer to do all my render work (lighting wise). This is iray and this image which only has the model (v4) in took one hour and twenty minutes. Compare that one of the images from the pirate commission which has six character models (3 x v4, 2 x m4 and a genesis) and a big boat rendered in 3delight which took about 35-45 minutes per-image.

So its a trade off between time rendering and time setting up an image. Generally (and luckily) commission clients usually want the image's ASAP.

I would dread to think how long it would have taken to render one of those scene's through iray. I'd probably be at the whole project for weeks rather than four to five days.

I hope that gives a little insight to things?
