Great to see Neverending Story on there with Wolfgang Petersen's recent passing. Though we all know this one’s going to Maverick.

Can't say I'm overly thrilled with Top Gun Maverick being one of the top picks. I promise I'll see it if it wins, and if say I don’t like it much, I'll do my best to not be too negative about it. Though maybe I'll enjoy it better than the first. I'm cautiously optimistic either way.

It also helps that Cruise had been thinking about how to make the movie for a VERY long time, and you get the sense that it’s something all the kinks have been worked out of. He actually pitched a version of it to Tony Scott back in 2012, which he seemed very receptive to, but then killed himself literally the very next day, which put it off for another decade.

I wasn't too enthusiastic about seeing the movie at first. ..... I saw it four times. Four. Times. 😂 It is glorious. It had no business being as good as it was. 😂 It's the mother of all crowd pleasers... And I actually think the Oscar nomination was well deserved.

I'm definitely planning on adding Polite Society to the list when it becomes available for home viewing, as it's absolutely the closest we'll ever get to Edgar Wright and Jordan Peele making a movie together.

Make an executive decision and watch it, or make it your mandatory halloween film this year! Or make subtle hints on your videos like wearing a Nope tshirt,, saying Nope a lot and finishing your videos with the words 'I wonder how this compares with Nope.'

Color me surprised that Maverick actually isn't the top spot after 24 hours. Though Neverending Story does have quite a few killer reaction scenes (let's just say you'll be glad it's easier to cry).
