I´m really wondering if Jess is that far ahead that she already watched 7x09/7x10 by now... I don´t remember much from 7x07, so I´m curious about the episode! Let´s go! :) Edit: Holy shit, that was a great one! I´m wondering why I forgot about this gem! :D

My heart breaks for Dean this season. Sam too, I can't imagine what he is going through, but this is the deepest depression I think we have seen Dean in through the seven seasons. Cas broke him, and I think he feels unable to lean on Sam, because of Sam's deal. Unfortunately that belief is rooted so deeply in fear, over just concern. I don't think he doubts that Amy would kill, because he honestly believes right now everything, and everyone, will break in the worst possible way. He has completely lost hope. Cas sort of became a representation of hope to Dean, and you can see the effect losing Cas has every time. This is the worst, because it was Cas's choices. I adore Cas and I say this with no malice, because I understand how Cas thought he was right. Just coming from Dean's perspective. I wish Dean had confronted Sam at any other point of that episode, because I think his wording would have been better. He wasn't really mad at Sam. He was ruffled by Ellen, and I feel that was a lash out. He is mad at himself. I am glad Sam was understanding, but I wish he had pushed a bit further. Both in writing, and for himself. Sometimes it helps to really get it out, so nothing lingers, even when you think you are ok. I am glad he ultimately saw that it was a symptom of what Dean was going through, not just who Dean was. A lot of fans couldn't do that. I like this episode, overall. The guests were strong. The twists were interesting. It was on the creepier side. Not a favorite, but definitely on my list of solid eps.
