When I first saw this episode and realized that subtracting the credits it was around a half hour long, maybe less than that, you crossed my mind, and I was relieved for you in that when you felt better enough to film and edit that it would be a short episode. As you say still too early to tell, but so far, I'm enjoying this show. It does stink how Jen’s career practically tanks after the courtroom incident. I hate that Dennis guy, and yeah, he referred to a woman as “it” which caused the blood to boil, and lead me to say, “It? He just called a woman it? Oh, please tell me he dies terribly complete with copious amounts of pain.” Surprised to see Mark Linn-Baker as Jen’s dad, and like you I'm liking his character a lot. That was a touching scene he had with Jen. Like you said, “Love a good talk with Dad.” I knew going into this that Tim Roth would be returning as Emil, and that was a major draw for me for this show as Tim is a fantastic actor. I share your sentiment that it was wonderful to see Tim in this role again. I love how there’s a bit of question on how genuine Emil is. After all, he was a rat thirty years ago, who’s to say he isn’t still one. Emil certainly did make at the very least a compelling argument. The line where they reference Bruce receiving the Darrin treatment by going from being played by Edward Norton to Mark Ruffalo caused a small chuckle and say, “Real cute. Very cute.” I also had a small chuckle when you said, “Not the crocs.” To Emil’s defense that is probably the only type of footwear that he’s allowed to wear. I enjoyed the reaction, and I'd say that might not be a bad idea of rewatching The Incredible Hulk whilst trying to recover from covid. Take care, Jess.

I’m really, really hoping there’s more to that guy than just being the most cartoony sexist imaginable. At least let Jen get a win against him, either in court or socially. Because as it is now, I’m just wondering what the hell the point of him is.

I’m assuming the show will build toward Jen utterly demolishing him in at least some type of court case, because like you say otherwise, he’s just a cartoony, sexist asshole that's simply there taking up screentime.
