Wow, this story was so bad it actually drove you to a hiatus! I promise, the show gets good again right afterward for the rest of its run.

As you say, though the consensus view of the fandom is that this is the weakest arc, the second half of it is an improvement over the first half. A major reason for that is Gregor and his storyline. I agree with you that he could have been the star of the arc and it would have been much better. Another point in the second half’s favor is that the now Admiral Tarkin appears. Or at least according to the credits Tarkin now holds the rank of admiral, which is nice to see that he is moving on up to bigger and better things. A pleasant surprise to see buzz droids. Much like the two-parter starring C-3PO and R2-D2, the moment where the show briefly indulges in trying to trick you into thinking R2 is dead is unexpectedly sad. Not quite as sad as that moment when 3PO and R2 lost power, but not all that far from it. As Ryan commented, the show has most impressive arcs following this one. The arc immediately after this is my favorite arc of the show. Since you stated, that is if I'm remembering what you’ve said correctly, that you will be going on break after this week, which I presume means there will be a delay in your reactions to said arc, if so, that is not a problem in the slightest. I am more than content to be patient and wait.

Also, the first episode of the next arc was the Season 5 premiere, which means they were confident people would be so engaged with it they'd be willing to wait most of the season for any follow-up. You'll see if you think that was deserved.
