I agree with your observations that the quality of the eulogy left a lot to be desired. Again, I really love that you really love the political plotlines of this show. In addition to Padmé receiving the extra focus, I love that there is also more of a spotlight shown on both Bail Organa and Mon Mothma. I love how the episode is very much a murder mystery. Lieutenant Divo is a very enjoyable character, and yes, a trench coat and a cigar would have complimented him quite nicely. I kept looking at him and was saying, “Did they make him look like Peter Lorre on purpose? If so, I love it!” And yeah, Lolo perhaps could have talked her way out of the situation, or at least bought herself some time, but every good murder mystery needs that moment where the murderer becomes very helpful in revealing their identity. I love your observation about how it is a very delicate balancing act of writing how Padmé fights for peace and making that very engaging, yet by the nature of the show, there is something of a forgone conclusion working against her. And I especially love the final scene of Palpatine’s speech at the end of the episode where he tries to assure Padmé that more clone troops will be a good thing. That, as has been described in the past, “There are dark times ahead...An era of warfare necessary to purge the galaxy of those who have allowed it to decay. For decay has no cure; it has to be eradicated by the flames of a cleansing fire.” Great reactions to these Padmé-centric epsiodes. Cannot wait for the next few weeks. Those are going to be doozies of episodes and your reactions to them will be superb.

One odd bit is that as much as the show plays up Divo as a smarmy, incompetent jerk, he was actually given quite a tragic story arc in the Legends novels, as one of the few law enforcement members to truly care about stopping crime and protecting the innocent, only to get stuck living in the Empire where that job become completely impossible, before finally being killed in the destruction of Alderaan.

I am enjoying your journey through Clone Wars a lot. I only saw it for the first time at the beginning of 2020, and I've already forgotten enough that these stories seem fresh to me. Your reactions are always so generous, in that you make yourself emotionally available to the characters and the story, if that makes any sense. I know I've messaged before how much I enjoy your reactions, but I figure people can't hear praise often enough. Hope you are well!
