What you said about Clint and Laura's relationship. I completely agree. They've quickly become my favourite MCU couple and I just wanna know more about them, and more about Laura and I just want more! She's just so supportive and understanding. She doesn't make Clint feel bad about not being at home during Christmas time, she completely understands everything he's doing and is there every step of the way. Like, she may not physically be there, but he calls her before basically every big thing he does. And he's so honest with her too. The fact that she knows all about Ronin and everything, they're honestly amazing. They're definitely the healthiest relationship in the MCU and I love them. Their communication is amazing, they're supportive of each other. They are partners in every way and I just love it.

I am happy the end of this episode was not spoiled for you. It was kind of everywhere at the time. I loved your answer for when Yelena asked Kate how long she knew Clint. "Longer than you." I loved that so much. You spoke of how you have rewatched Daredevil season 3 a lot. I am guessing you are going to rewatch Hawkeye Season 1 a lot. Between how good it is and the Christmas vibe I think it has a lot of re-watchability to it. I am glad you are enjoying the series as much as I thought you would. It is my favorite of the Disney+ MCU shows.

You are correct that it was not known prior to this episode if Yelena was or was not a victim of the Snap. A lot of fans suspected that she was, but there was no official confirmation until this episode aired. As a result, that scene where we see Yelena killed by the Snap and then resurrected by the Blip was a powerful scene to see. I love the scene of Yelena and Kate having the girl’s night with the mac and cheese. It’s great that Kate does not back down on defending Hawkeye and at the same time acknowledges that whilst yes, he has done bad things, she still holds firm the belief that he is a good man. Equally as great is that she also acknowledges Yelena’s grief and anger about Black Widow. The scene that got me the most emotional was the scene where Hawkeye talks to Black Widow at the memorial plaque. And it was made more emotional by being underscored by the motif Alan Silvestri composed for Infinity War and Endgame during the scenes where the sacrifice is made for the soul stone. I had a similar thought that you had in that it seemed like Vera Farmiga was being slightly underutilized in the show, which made me suspicious about whether or not she was going to be a villain. As to the big surprise at the end of the episode, I actually called it at the third episode when Maya’s left with her uncle, and we heard him chuckle. I recognized the voice and said, “That’s Vincent D’Onofrio! Wait! That means that’s Kingpin! I haven’t even seen that show! But that’s who that is!” A lot of people thought I was talking crazy saying that that was Kingpin, but I knew it was him. I still don’t know what I got a bigger kick out of, the reveal that Vincent D’Onofrio was in fact back as Kingpin, or that said reveal is immediately followed by You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch, and it’s the Thurl Ravenscroft version too, that makes it even better. As I see Dave said, and I agree completely, I am so happy that the big surprise was not spoiled for you. I think the chain of events is that Elanor called Kingpin, Kingpin put in a call to Valentina, who presumably is Yelena’s handler, to hire Yelena to kill Hawkeye. This still begs the question of exactly what Valentina’s deal is, but in terms of how Yelena was hired I surmise that is the chain of events that transpired. As to your last question on do we consider Hawkeye to be a hero or not, I’d say I do. It’s like the line Clara says to Twelve on Doctor Who, “You asked me if you were a good man. And the answer is, I don't know. But I think you try to be. And I think that's probably the point.” Loved your reaction to this episode and I can’t wait to see your reaction to the finale.
