This is one of my favorite episodes from the earlier seasons. Ben Edlund is easily one of the best writers on the show, and he really does bring kind of an eccentric flair to a lot of his work but he's also got a real gift for poetic moments as well. Also! Not a spoiler, but I would suggest watching episodes 9 and 10 back-to-back for the best viewing experience (even if you don't post them at the same time).

4x09 coincided with that year's Sweeps week, so it was a pretty big 'event' episode for the network at the time. :)
