Not gonna lie - for once, I was disappointed with your comments at the end. In a highly Dean-centric episode, you spent almost all your time talking about everybody BUT Dean. In 20 minutes, you gave perhaps two minutes to him, saying it was nice he could spend time with his family. Nothing about Dean's interactions with his mom (he found out she was a hunter, and that she wanted out of the life, and that he was exactly the opposite of what she had wanted - that was crushing) and the scenes with his grandfather and with his grandfather as Yellow Eyes. Not to mention Jensen's acting. In an episode where Sam barely appears, you still managed to talk about him.

HA! I'm here for the astrology chat. I've been doing charts since my teenage years - before the days of free natal chart calculations on the internet. It's ancient psychology and the earliest form of predictive analytics...except we used the planets and stars as the algorithm (ie: when to plant seeds and harvest crops by tracking what was where during certain seasons - and we still rely on this for our almanacs). The first computer was called the Antikythera Mechanism, and it used all of the star maps. Fascinating. Great reaction to a great episode!

Part of the problem with doing a reaction the second the episode is over is that in cases where a lot happens, some people need a minute. Whatever she said was her first thoughts about things. I respect your opinion, but think it's pretty crappy that because it didn't match YOUR expectations of what she SHOULD HAVE SAID you were disappointed. Get over yourself.

I appreciate that, but this episode was literally Dean start to finish. Got to make me think that she lacks interest in him when he's barely in her thoughts at the end of the episode. I'm not saying she needed to talk about all the points I mentioned - that was just to indicate how much there was, and she touched on none of it. And you say you respect my opinion, but then tell me to get over myself? That is the exact opposite of respecting my opinion. I know you don't care because you are a Sam fan and have barely any interest in Dean yourself, but I notice.

Oh, that's interesting you say that. I'm sorry you were disappointed. I do try my very best to focus on and talk about all the characters. But as it turns out, it's my genuine afterthoughts and my immediate thoughts after the episode. There's going to be times where I won't elaborate as much or miss talking about something. Or if I start rambling on about something, I will go down that road for quite a while even if it wasn't the main focal point of the episode. You're not the first to ever be upset with my post episode thoughts haha. I personally like how I try to talk about what comes naturally to my mind but sadly that way I can't entirely take notes and make sure everything is touched upon equally. Anyway, sorry if it was disappointing for you. Thanks for the support nonetheless.

Also as I've just read your reply, I don't think it proves I have a lack of interest in Dean. I think it more so proves I'm not perfect all the time. I love Dean's character. Always have.

I thought your reaction was awesome, Jess! And, honestly, you were exactly as scattered and freaked out as *I* was when I watched it for the first time. lol Because just *so* much happens and it adds incredible layers of context for where we've been already and gives us just the teensiest glimpse of what the big bads were plotting at the time. And I think you're absolutely right - even though Dean had to witness the tragedy of what happened to his grandparents and his parents, he *did* get more time with them than he ever hoped he'd get, so I know that little Back to the Future mome was really precious, to him. I also fully agreed with you (when I first watched it) about Ruby and Castiel - both brand-new (mostly) characters to us and the boys and just from the last 3 seasons alone, we're set up to be suspicious of these two, as well as suspicious of their motives.

This is such a huge crazy episode, so many revelations! Definitely one that I've rewatched a ton over the years. Great reaction, love how on-board you are for this seasons' shenanigans :)

This is one of the best episodes of the series. We tie back to Sn 1 and Mary telling Sam she was sorry. I love that sometimes with this show you have to wait more than one season to get an answer. The writing in this one was so good. I am very interested in how you are going to feel about some of the new characters later in the season. Jensen's acting here was FANTASTIC. I felt for Dean so deeply knowing what he knows and then meeting his young parents. I can never watch him tell Mary not to go into the nursery without crying. He was trying so hard to save them and that's not even what the angels wanted him to stop. I hope he tells Sam what he learned.

I can understand why you might be upset a bit, about this. But I noticed with Jess, and one reason I gravitate towards her reactions, is she talks a lot about the plots. But like she DID get super emotional in some of the Dean scenes. Including the Dean and Mary. Dean and John, and Dean and Samuel. So I really do think she loves Dean a lot! I can relate to that kind of reaction of getting so into the moment, but then focus on the plot of the episode more, but that is also the writer in me <3

With respect and I ADORE Dean, I'ts pretty clear her head was spinning as she was trying to give us a reaction. I'd bet money things popped into her head she would have said once she pulled herself together, for a long time after she ended the video. Probably throughout the day. It was a reaction, not a review. We got whatever pieces fell together enough for the poor woman to give voice to. We've seen the ep before; our passion or obsession (or both, lol) is forged in our hearts and souls (if we haven't made a deal with a crossroad demon). This is brand new and blew her mind. I think we can give her a little leeway on this. And probably a hug.. Maybe a shot from Bobby's bottle of whiskey couldn't hurt either... 💜
