Thanks for a great reaction. It took me several viewings of this story to work out the relevance of the scene where The Master got onto the coach wearing a mask. This was actually because it was supposedly him in a mask as the telephone engineer who installed that phone in UNIT headquarters. If you look again, you'll notice he's wearing the same clothes. On the Doctor running. I think he was just trying to test out The Masters circuit in his Tardis hoping for a short trip, but remember this is a Tardis & theoretically could come back just after he left, or even before he left lol!
