Wait. I just realized. Emma was in this and it had a bunny. Her character thought bunnies were the scariest thing ever on Buffy right? That is about the 100th thing I have "realized" about the show watching it for a second time. Between meta things like the bunny (or maybe I am just seeing more there than there than there is) and the nods to the sit com tropes, and the things that may or may not play into the future plot of what is going on there is a lot of subtle things in this show. I love it.

Two episodes in and already I honestly don't care if any explanation or answers are given to what is going on. I know eventually the show will explain things, but I'm just wanting to stay in this sitcom world as long as possible. I actually cried seeing the animated opening, I said to myself, "God, the detail of this animated Bewitched style opening! It's so beautiful!" I'm loving this show so much more than I thought I was going to, and I'm very glad you're very much enjoying it as well.

I just read a small article about the bunnies. It turns out Emma Caulfield didn't connect it to Buffy until someone pointed it out to her. She said "I shot it, and I didn’t catch it. I didn’t have anything to do with the rabbit. This is Wanda’s action. It’s her magic act with Vision. I did not catch it.” She further stated that she asked the showrunner if it was a deliberate reference and said “She would have said something if that was her intention, to put that little Buffy Easter egg in there. She never said anything to me about it, so I think it’s pure coincidence, it would make sense that somebody would throw a fun little Easter egg in there like that.” So maybe one of the other writers wrote it in, maybe it is just a rather amusing coincidence, either way, good catch.
