Such a great episode, this one. Glad you enjoyed it. It's actually got a lot of re-watchability. Ronald is so adorable! First time, I think I was too worried about them making it out of there to enjoy the last part of it. Why do the boys have to be so damned heroic? They're about to be caught by the police, yet still won't give up their monster hunt. It's very easy to think of Sam as the empathetic one and Dean as the no nonsense one, but Dean is extremely likeable when he drops the attitude. He really cares, and people can see it. He's especially good with kids. Don't worry about there being any anguished moments in the future. SPN is nothing but brightness and light. Nothing ever goes wrong!!

I definitely think Dean is a lot more empathetic than he lets on. I kinda loved how both brothers thought they were being kind in their own way but you would assume it would be the other way around. Does that make sense? Maybe not hahah I think Sam was a bit harsh but as he mentions later, Ron isn't a professional and it's dangerous so I don't think he was being mean just to be mean. But it was so wonderful to see Dean feel so strongly to let Ron know that he's not crazy and I think Dean gave Ron the best gift before tragedy struck because he let him know he's not alone.
