What a great story to kick off the new series! Without a doubt the most cinematic, with a vast array of varied plots, settings and themes, I really think it will become one of your favourites based on the type of shows you watch.

I think series 10 was a bit more consistent, but 9 is my clear favourite for the reasons you describe. And Peter Capaldi was amazing.
