I wanted to make a post asking you guys for suggestions of what shows to put into my poll that I will be holding to choose a couple shows I'm reacting to this summer.

Now I have been spending a LOT of time compiling a list of shows that people would want to vote for but I'm posting this here in case there are any I missed even though I'm being very thorough. So please let me know if there are any shows you would like to throw out there for consideration.

Just to be clear, if you comment a show down below....that does not mean it will make it into the final poll for people to vote on. There are many reasons for this:

1) I have already seen the show

2) It is a show produced by a company or channel that is not reaction-friendly or hands out strikes and blocks regularly

3) It is one of the few shows I have tried and didn't like or just really don't want to see.

4) There's probably another reason but I'm tired and can't think of it right now.

So let me know your suggestions and I will take them into consideration! Hope you are excited!

Would love to see Torchwood, but it would make sense not to react to it just yet, seeming that you are reacting to both Sarah Jane and Doctor Who at the moment.

Elliott Bishop

I know that you’ve seen a lot of shows. The only ones that I can think of are Orphan black, Peaky blinders and a British show called Primeval (because dinosaurs)

Mckenzie

Merlin or Charmed or Once Upon a Time

Dylan Cooper

One of my favourite TV shows is a UK Sci-Fi Drama called Primeval. Whilst it was on air, it was the main competitor for it's channel against Doctor Who on the BBC. Aside from Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures, it's definitely my favourite show! I don't know how much information you want going into the show, so I won't say what it's about just in case, but I hope it's one to be considered! No worries if not :)

George Alexander

Gotham- so just u can have some DC to go with the marvel shows you watch , Luther - think Sherlock but even more grittier !

Anonymous

I think it's an understatement to say that you've probably heard a lot of people asking you to watch Torchwood. Not to mention the fact that you are already watching Doctor Who and Sarah Jane currently. But I've got to say it really does seem like the kind of show that you would love, it holds nothing back in terms of gore or language, which in my opinion allows you to go to great depths with shows regarding certain storylines. It also allows for a greater depth into some of the character on the show. Just all round a fantastic piece of television, (especially season 3) hope you'll consider it in future, maybe once you've finished with the Sarah Jane adventures. :)

sesskasays

Torchwood won't be on the list because I already have plans to watch it in the future :)

Torchwood won't be on the list as I already have plans to watch it in the future :)

How about a show called Misfits, a Sci-Fi comedy/drama about a group of people on Community Service who get superpowers.

Anonymous

Long shot, but if you didn't watch it as a kid, 'Dexter's Laboratory'.

Anonymous

I thoroughly recommend Shameless (US), it’s a chill very comical series.

Anonymous

If you haven't seen Suits I'd recommend that as it's one of my favourite shows. Misfits, like Charlie suggested, is another great shout. Also Shadowhunters because I'm obsessed but I would have to admit the first season has a lot of cheese but gets much better in S2 onwards when new showrunners took over

Harry Utton

Shadowhunters is good but while the first season is enjoyable, you can tell the network wasn't putting much funding into it lol seasons 2 and 3 (so far) have been amazing though. Another show that I'd recommend you watch (even if you don't react to it) is SKAM (the original Norwegian one). It's in Norwegian but there are many ways to watch them with subtitles online. Lots of people have reacted to it and agree on the beaty if the show, I'm from the UK and the subtitles were no problem for me, it's truly an amazing show (one of my top 5 of all time).

Anonymous

Also Peaky Blinders is an amazing under appreciated show.

Absoluti0n

Probably a long shot because people have mostly forgotten about this show, but Alias. It's post-Felicity and pre-Lost JJ Abrams, a spy thriller that gets more and more science fiction as it goes on, with its own complicated lore and just general insanity. Not to mention a great cast of characters and fantastic acting, particularly for an early 2000s network show. It also has some of the most jaw-dropping twists and cliff hangers of any series.

Liam Kershaw-Calvert

Merlin would be a good one to react to! I really enjoy the Doctor Who spin-off CLASS, but I’d understand you not reacting to that since it’s only one season.

Stephen Ray

Battlestar Galactica. Even people in my life who hate sci fi were hooked.

Jimmy Jones

Legion??? It's different.

Anonymous

I would definitely suggest Orphan Black. It's a total wild ride from start to finish with incredible acting and really well-done plotlines. I'd also recommend X Company. It's a Canadian show, so you'd probably have to get it on DVD, but it's an absolute masterpiece. There's tons of spy drama and a really strong ensemble cast. Also, I would totally recommend A Series of Unfortunate Events. It's amazing whether you've read the books or not, and does a great job balancing emotions with (usually dark) humour.

Valerie

Broadchurch. The acting in that show is just so, so good, it's a mystery each season with lots of twists and turns, and only 3 seasons of 8 episodes each. Plus Arthur Darvill's in it!

Anonymous

Wholeheartedly support Broadchurch for a BRILLIANT UK police drama. Probably even better (if that's possible) are both LINE OF DUTY and LUTHER.

Anonymous

If you're after something weird and messed up, try Mark Gatiss, Steve "Silence in the Library" Pemberton and Reece "You've not seen his DW episode yet" in BBC comedy THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN. The three actors play over 40 characters in this sketch show about a very strange and sinister town in the North of England. But beware. It does get dark. Very dark....!

YungAtHart

Broadchurch is excellent. Also I would suggest Godless (one season limited series) if you haven't watched it already. Either would be good.

Anonymous

Outlander :)

Anonymous

Broadchurch is without a doubt one to watch! The Night Manager was pretty amazing too.

Anonymous

Mr. Robot! If you liked the Leftovers and Twin Peaks, you'll love this. Plus, i feel like nobody else on the internet reacts to this show, which is sad because it's my favorite thing I've watched in years.

Jason

Think I've said this before on Twitter but id love you to consider "Life On Mars" & it's sequel "Ashes To Ashes" and like I said there you may find a love for John Simm out of it. Im not sure how you'd get a hold of it but if you did the British version and not the American remake is what I'm suggesting.

Anonymous

The night manager was incredible. I know you loved Downton Abbey so maybe Mr Selfridge which is another period drama and is based on a true story. Marcella is a brilliant British crime/describe series very weird but very good.

Christopher weindel

Penny Dreadful. An old Showtime show that I believe is all on Netflix. Good Victorian era horror with a great cast

Anonymous

A Series of Unfortunate Events :)

Peter Nolan

Broadchurch is just amazing. I think you'd love The Crown (it's basically 60% Downton Abbey if Matt Smith played Matthew, 20% The West Wing and 20% LOOK AT THE CLOTHES!). And Orphan Black is just brilliant and amazing too and doesn't have as many reactors as it deserved when it was on. Part of me kind of wants you to see ONE episode of classic 1990s show "Soldier, Soldier" too. I don't think it would be worth reacting to the whole thing as barely anybody remembers it - but it was a show about the soldiers on a British Army base awaiting deployment and their wives and starred Jerome Flynn as one of the central characters). I think it would hit a lot of your personal likes to check it out, even if you didn't react to it.

Peter Nolan

Oh, Gotham is another one! I know you had a, um, complicated relationship with the Dark Knight trilogy but I think Gotham has a lot of the stuff you like about shows - a large ensemble cast, morally grey people (very, very, VERY dark grey people) who you kind of root for to win, shock deaths left and right, and a dark, twisted sense of humour.

Katya Vasileva

The OA - I think you'll like it and soon there should be season 2 :) The story is captivating and binge-worthy and there are a lot of emotional moments... I can already imagine you falling in love with the characters and, of course, there would surely be some Sesska tears :D On top of that, there are only 8 episodes so it's not that big of a commitment. Hope you consider it :)

Ian Smith

Having enjoyed your short-lived reactions to Star Trek:TOS,I would love to see a reaction to another favourite 60s sci-fi show of mine (even if it's only a single episode) called Thunderbirds. It's full of charm, has lots of 'futuristic' retro 60s ideas of what the future will look like;and consists entirely of well-voiced marionettes, and well built miniatures.

kati

I second Broadchurch (UK version of only), Penny Dreadful and the OA.

Would love a reaction to Fargo :-)

Dean Nolan

Being Human UK version, BBC Drama won lots of awards, 5 seasons, about 8 episodes per season, (1 hour long), lots of drama, relationship issues, and fighting. x

Anonymous

I think you'd love Legion, it's a Marvel show but disconnected from any of the Netflix/MCU stuff, which IMO makes it even better cause it's its own thing. It's based off some X-Men characters, and it's veryyy trippy as well (a bit Twin Peaks like)

Anonymous

Would love to see you react to orphan black, continuum, once upon a time or the Inbetweeners UK.. keep up good work jess

Dean Nolan

BBC SciFi Drama/Comedy Red Dwarf? made in the 80's,

Anonymous

Legion would be great since you're into some Marvel stuff now. It's quite different from any other superhero show. Also Fargo which is from the same creator. Some oldies but goodies(which you probably seen at least half of these): Spartacus, True Blood, American Horror Story, The Vampire Diaries(starts bad but becomes good), Oz, The Shield.

Jason

Probably not a show for Jess with all the teenage angst running through it but I'm staggered there's no (that i know of) reactors around revisiting "Smallville" spent 10 years of my life watching it. Sometimes made me cringe or get angry but overall it was a fun time & I'd love to see it again through someone else's eyes. 10 seasons though is a hell of a lot I guess for anyone so probably answered my own question :-) Oh and sadly it's a WB show so it's an understatement to say it's not likely to be reaction friendly probably :-(

Jason

I'm sure many smegheads would love that but let's not kid ourselves it's not a drama Dean, It's very much a sitcom but a very funny one at that.

Daniel Reynolds

Broadchurch (UK) would be amazing!! Only 3 series and 8 episodes in each. And like somebody else stated, Arthur Darvill.

Doug C

I'm going to break the rules and say no new shows yet. Double up on the weekly Doctor Who and get caught up with the show so you can suffer like the rest of us in these gaps. :-)

Anonymous

The 100, and Broadchurch (UK)

Anonymous

I'm going to recommend Orphan Black, because it's very character driven, and Hannibal, because it's totally awesome. (Personally, I also love Sanctuary and Eureka, but I am a very big nerd.) I hope that you will come to enjoy whichever show wins :).

Anonymous

Merlin or once upon a time

Anonymous

Merlin is a British drama about the Arthurian legend

Anonymous

Once upon a time is about fairytale characters who are transported to our world, so it is a very unique and clever idea for a show

Anonymous

Once upon a time... You'll like it although there could be some aspects of it I think you won't like. Or perhaps house of cards if you haven't already seen it

Anonymous

Inside Number 9, a British anthology show that veers between comedy and drama and horror, some times all at once.

Anonymous

Broadchurch is quite a good shout. Apart from that, the only suitable series I can think of from a UK perspective with enough episodes to really get your teeth into would be perhaps Spooks, but I don't know how much demand there'd be for that. I'd love to see you do it, though!

Anonymous

I would go with Mr Robot, but I noticed they are hardcore with youtube takedowns. My other votes would be Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Good Place, or maybe even Rick and Morty. Good hunting Ms Sesskasays.

J

Avatar the Last Airbender, Community, Lost, The Good Place, Legion, Life on Mars (UK)

Dave Ford

The BBC's Life on Mars - it's a cop show with a twist. Cop gets hit in a road traffic accident and somehow ends up in the 1970s - so, possibly, in a parody of a 1970's cop show - sometimes it's hard to tell - especially for the characters... Despite this premise, it's not sci-fi at all, but more comedy/drama. It's got a great ensemble cast. The second show featuring the same basic premise, Ashes to Ashes, though it had a shaky first series, is just as good as the first by the end.

Dave Ford

Thunderbirds has a great theme, but Captain Scarlet is a better show. Mind you, if you're going to do 60's TV - it's got to be Batman.

Dave Ford

And Being Human - I forgot about Being Human - I think you'd really like that - also ensemble cast, gritty, but with humour.

Anonymous

Oh yes, Life on Mars and then Ashes to Ashes are definitely good suggestions.

Evan!!

Veronica Mars!!

Love to see Broadchurch (UK) or Arrow

Anonymous

Merlin, Lucifer, Avatar the Last Airbender.

Peter Nolan

Ah, just thought of two I should have included. "Dead Set" was the show Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker did first. It's a five episode miniseries so it's very Black Mirror in tone, but we get to stay with the same ensemble of characters for longer and get to know them better. The other is "Strike" - seven episodes based on the series of crime novels by Harry Potter creator JK Rowling, about a former officer in the British Army's Special Investigation Branch, trying to rebuild his life as a PI.

Mifz Samuel Rahim

ARROWVERSE! I really hope you pick the Arrowverse. The shared universe conists of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. Since you're reacting to the shared Marvel universe, it'd be a great contrast to see the DC side of it. I recently began watching these shows and have just caught up and absolutely love it. Awesome ensemble cast in each show and tons of brilliant crossovers. Also, I used the following helpful site to help me keep track of the episode order. https://flash-arrow-order.herokuapp.com/

OMG I used to love love loooooove Smallville... Would love to see it from someone else's perspective as well :)

Miz Mons

I second "Orphan Black", "Being Human" (UK version), "Chuck", and "The Flash" (first couple of seasons are really good, with a bit of a Buffy-esque dynamic) I’ll add these suggestions: "Dead Like Me" and "Pushing Daisies" (both are Bryan Fuller series and only have 2 seasons each), and "Farscape", which is weird and amazing.

Anonymous

the flash would be good show

Jimmy Jones

I assume she didn't pick Legion and the Arrow verse shows due to copyright or it not being her thing.
