i dunno if it would work or but would it be possible to like zip the video files and then put them up on google drive cause then google wouldn't be able to scan the videos for copy righted content... i know it's not the greatest thing since that means no video player and you would require everyone to download it but it'll hopefully stop the blocking

While this has nothing to do with the copyright issue, there's no real reason those files need to be as big as they are. Personally, I've been resizing all your movie reaction files to being around 150 MB each so they wouldn't take up quite as much space as they did.

Well in order to compress the files that I have....it take about 6 to 8 hours for one part. So I really don't have time to dedicate to resizing but that's another thing I can look at once I get a better computer.

Dropbox may be an alternative - their anti-piracy measure involve hashing algorithms - so would detect a copy of a DVD but not your stuff - but I don't know about other aspects of their suitability.

One solution would be to have no movie audio in the video you upload. You could listen to the audio in headphones or earbuds while watching the film, and have a cue for us to press play, and a few video clips edited in for us to sync up to.

Dropbox is pretty bad when it comes to a lot of people downloading the same file.

No worries Jess! I didn't realize even audio can get a reaction blocked. Take your time to sort this stuff out. I'm more mad at myself because when you started reacting to the Nolan Batman movies I wasn't interested but just changed my mind recently! I'll still watch part 2 and 3 of Batman Begins.

Regarding the Google Drive viewing limit, there is a very simple way around it for those who don't know. All you need to do is sign into Google, right click on the video and press on the option that says something like "Copy to my drive". It'll take about 10 minutes to render, but then the file is yours forever to view when you like.

2021-10-23 22:48:49 I wonder if anyone has some of the Harry Potter reactions they might be able to share? I'm wanting to re-watch Jess's reactions but I'm missing parts 1&2 from Deathly Hallows Part 1 - could anyone send them to me?

Totally reasonable and understandable :)
