Oh, you're going to enjoy the last movie for so many different reasons.

Dylan Cooper

I'm so happy and excited that you're doing Fantastic Beasts too, I think it's a wonderful movie! I haven't been more excited for a reaction than Deathly Hallows Part 2, there are SO many parts in the movie that I can't wait to see your take on :)

Janel Rodriguez

She said re: Snape that she wants to find out more about him, "always." We can discuss THAT after she sees the last movie. :-)

Your described reaction to the end of GOBLET OF FIRE was basically mine when I read the books. The last 100 pages (it's a big book) have me rooted to my seat every time (I've read it 4 times, the last time this past summer). Even this last time, I was riding a subway train home, and when I finished the book, I looked around at everyone's faces and thought, "Wow! Voldemort's back, people! Don't you know?? Voldemort's back!" The book is more intense than the movie.

Stephen Ray

I'm glad you'll be doing Fantastic Beasts as well. That movie was a lot of fun. You're right that you were missing something about Dobby's character. There's a whole subplot in Goblet of Fire with Hermione and Dobby. It's not referenced at all in the movies. While it's not really important to the overall storyline, it does explain why everybody's so happy to see Dobby again.

I'm glad you love Ron so much because so many book fans complain about how the movies "ruin" Ron's character. There's even a video on YouTube how the makers of the movie(specifically screenwriter Steve Kloves) butchers him and make Hermione more awesome. I don't agree. Is he exactly like he is in the books? No. Do they make him more comic relief? Sure. But I think Ron as played by Rupert Grint is so endearing and also the most human of the trio. You want a character butchered in an adaptation? Try Faramir in the LORD OF THE RINGS!

I’m so excited to see your next Harry Potter movie reaction! It’s gonna be such a good one and I think you’ll like a lot! ❤️

When asked if the movie actors ever influenced how she wrote the characters in the books she wrote after the movies started coming out, JK originally said "no" and then said that Evanna Lynch (Luna) did because she so embodied the character that she could hear her voice when she wrote Luna. And then admitted she also sometimes pictured Rupert particularly when Ron was gong to do something not-too-smart. Probably influenced by the movies, yes. But she also had Prof. Slughorn call Ron "Rupert" by accident (as he could never remember Ron's name properly.) She did that as a wink to Rupert.
