Monty Magpie

Got my popcorn at the ready :)

Dave Ford

All G&T'd up and ready to go. Yay!

Muppeteer

Yes, Hermoine's mother was played by Michelle Fairley aka 'Catelyn Stark'

Mark McKeown

So good. Final part is just all out epicness.

Jeff Clark

My internet is dropping in an out. I started watching as soon as this was uploaded almost 3 hours ago - but i'm not even at the end of the second part yet. My internets been fine all week and now decides to be an absolute asshole :(

Dylan Cooper

Really enjoyed this yet again! Hedwig's death gets me everytime, you're definitely not alone there. My favourite scene from this movie was the Harry/Hermione dance scene, it truly highlights the innocence of these young kids and how hard their life has become. I'm a huge fan of their relationship too, it's not often you get a male/female relationship that's strictly non-romantic and I love them both so much. Harry's actually my favourite character (behind McGonagall) so I personally love that the story follows him, I find him very relatable (though I definitely understand your love for Ron). I'm so torn between my emotions towards the next film, on one hand it's my absolute #1 favourite film, not just in the HP franchise, but of all time. On the other hand, once that's over, no more HP films :( This has been SUCH a fun journey over the past half a year, and I'm so glad that you've definitely warmed to the characters and the story in general. Though it's not over yet, very much looking forward to next month now, I don't know how I'm going to cope waiting! Thanks again :)

Can't wait for the next movie reaction. You're going to love it 😀....I hope the next movie series you do is the lord of the rings/the hobbit trilogy because that would be awesome

Opti_Frog

First of all, enormous fun reaction, yet again. I still feel a bit bad laughing at your snake attack terror, but i can't help myself. Hope your nightmares haven't been too horrible. How is this film not the most confusing thing ever for someone who hasn't read the books? There is so much dumped into this First Part that was set up way earlier in the books and not set up at all in the movies. Mundungus Fletcher was first mentioned in the very first book, splinching in Goblet of Fire and Harry's mirror shard - an important plot point - is suddenly in Harry's possession without any explanation. There is exposition galore, tons of new characters and magical objects and so much stuff going on. But as a fan of the books, i love this film. I call bullshit whey they said that they couldn't have made The Deathly Hallows into one movie, because they managed to do it with both Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix, both longer books, if maybe not as dense. I think they wanted to milk it, but i'm not complaining. This is a much slower paced film than the others, and it feels made for fans of the books. But i do think the setup in Half-Blood Prince could have been a bit better. I love that the mains are out of the school, in over their heads, cut off from everyone else and on a desperate, dangerous road-trip. Rupert Grint gets to do some lovely acting in this one, his best in this series by far, imo. My shining Ron-moment is him shouting at Harry, just before he leaves. That's when i thought "damn, he really can act when he's motivation is good." The character beats in TDH are overall really nice, except for the dance. It feels so out of place, so awkward, like it was plucked from another movie. And it has to be said by someone: The plan with the seven Potters is the dumbest plan ever, and that was true for the book as well. I can't believe we've only got one film left. Seeing this series through your eyes has been such a unique and fun experience, and i've loved every second of it. One month left until the end.

Two funniest parts: your reaction to Harry and Hermione dancing, and your reaction to Nagini's disguise. Laughed my ass off, sorry.

Josh

Been loving these each month and sad to be so near the end...completely forgot about the snake scene in this one too, but I can't help it...I now enjoy those bits coming up just to see the anarchy that follows! It'll be sad to see the end of these. I did wonder though whether you'd seen the Fantastic Beasts film (presuming not), and if not wondered if that might be a nice extension of this series that brings these Harry Potter reactions to December, and to the end of the year - ready for something new in 2018. I expected to really dislike it but was proven completely wrong and thought it was great!

Dave Ford

Wow - great vid. I did wonder how much you'd struggle with Nagini's attack at Godric Hollow. And, yes, the snake is hiding within the corpse of of the old lady. (though that does begger the question, just what was the fly-blown thing that Hermione found downstairs...) Loved also your reaction to the dance. That was added by the movie people and wasn't in the books - i believe it's still controversial amongst the fans. Personally, I think the self-assured and overly confident Harry would have taken that somewhere if Hermione had let him.. Thankfully - what are good friends for if they don't stop you making stupid mistakes on occasion? Can't wait for you enjoy the final movie, where our hero destroys the bad guy, get's his girl and (yes) the snake does get fucked up. Loving these!

Jeff Clark

I don't think Harry would have tried to take it anywhere...they have never shown anything towards each other than just close friendship. They cut a conversation out between Harry and Ron when the latter returns where Harry literally says "she's like my sister. I love her like a sister and I reckon she feels the same way about me. It's always been thay way - I thought you knew that".

Dave Ford

Jeff, They've never been in a situation like this before though - completely on their own, in a live-or-death situation, great stress, with only each other for support. That sort of thing we've seen in movies a thousand times before. And since this scene wasn't in the books, I don't think you can balance with a scene that was in the books, but cut from the movie. They're a bit divergent at this point.

Stephen Ray

This is the first of your Harry Potter reactions I've seen. I get the impression you're a Hermione and Ron shipper. And you don't like snakes. Watching the movie along with you is fantastic. Thanks for the reaction!

Michael Morand

Just for some pointers. Bill (William) is the name of the older Weasly brother we have now met. And he has now been married to Fleur from Goblet of Fire. Charlie is the only remaining Weasly brother we haven't seen. Dobby did appear more prominently in the books and not just in Chamber of Secrets and this film so I can understand that you didn't know him well. Another fun piece of trivia, the actor of Bill Weasly is Domhnall Gleeson and the actor of Mad-Eye Moody (who died in this film) is Brendan Gleeson, his father. And about the snake, I want to apologise on behalf of all of us for getting you to watch that. I did not laugh when you were freaking out. Having a phobia is not fun. Anyways, very glad to have reached this point in the series and will be sad to see it come to an end. It's been a lovely journey.
