Sesska's Favorite TV Moment of the Week (7/23-7/29) (Patreon)

Unfortunately for me, I also love Theon and Yara so this moment was a little conflicting. However, it was pure entertainment through and through. I don’t even know where to begin. Euron really didn’t do much for me at all last season. I thought he was a pretty bland character but oh man this season has really changed my opinion around on him. First the scene with Cersei and Jaime in the first episode and now this? And he really knows how to pull off a grand entrance into a battle doesn’t he? As somehow who appreciates the extra effort, I am so in love. 

This whole battle came out of nowhere for me and let’s be honest, I didn’t hate seeing two of the Sand Snakes get destroyed by Euron at all. But if Euron’s sheer animalistic badassery wasn’t enough, we get the moment it all led up to…..which has become quite a controversial moment; Theon jumping. People have so many opinions about why he jumped. I personally think he was triggered and jumped. But I also believe he hasn’t given up on Yara. I truly do believe there was no way he could’ve won against Euron. Some people believe he should have tried anyway after all Yara has done for me. That’s a fair point. I love how Game of Thrones can divide fans so easily with one simple action. 

Nonetheless, this scene was amazing to me and got me very hyped for more Greyjoy scenes in the future. I know, I get it…..Euron and Cersei are sooooo evil. But damn, they make it look good.
