Bad Batch sometimes doesn't get the love or respect of some other Star Wars properties, but I still believe these two episodes are some of the best Star Wars you'll find. The plot, the characters, the voice acting, the animation, all of it is stellar. And the music! Some of Kevin Kiner's (and family's) best work to date. The whole of the soundtrack for this season is so good, but three tracks from these episodes - "Fire When Ready," "Collapse," and "Leaving Kamino" - are among my favorite soundtrack music ever from a TV show, video game, or movie.

It is so wild to see Kamino sunny and still after only ever seeing it in darkness and rain. I love that these episodes show the true family bond among Clone Force 99 - the good and the bad of it all. Their discussions were heartbreaking - Crosshair admitting he felt abandoned and betrayed, Wrecker getting mad that Crosshair didn't even try to come back, and Tech acknowledging that understanding Crosshair doesn't equal agreeing with Crosshair. That's a very realistic family dynamic.
