Soviette FMG Animation Rough (Patreon)

I’m glad I got this one got to a releaseable state before the end of the month… One more animation for the pile.

A word about process: I‘ve found a way to sneak drawing into my day to day life, a little bit here, a little bit there. I even bought a fancy surface laptop which accounts for maybe 40%~50% of my workload. However the major animation programs I use, Clip Studio Paint, and especially Blender do not play well with laptops. Whatever animating I do has to wait until I’m at home.

I’ve pretty much stopped using my iPad. I hate the Apple Pencil, but Procreate is one of the best, deepest drawing programs on the market. I can’t use it to make  complicated animations, but it’s a low-barrier to entry. So for the past month or so I found myself chipping away at this Soviette animation in Procreate. I’d like to ink and color it too if the stars align.

I’m still hoping to find a robust animation program that plays nice with laptops and tablets. I’m going to give Adobe Fresco another shot, so let’s see.
