I could never get my hands on the early Hulk run to read Leonard Samson's origin. Then I realized that all this stuff's up online for free now:

I really liked how Samson's introduced in the comic. At this point just about all the characters are at best anti-heroes, and Samson fits right in. I've already penciled out a gender-swapped version of of this issue, but I like it so much I may just do a full recreation at some point. 

I'm also seriously toying with the idea of introducing a Hulk-knockoff and start using that character in my stuff going forward. While I haven't gotten a cease-and-desist from Marvel or anything, the stuff in the pipeline will cross over into x-rated or NC-17 type stuff and I don't want to hold back for fear of a lawsuit or something.

I just read the comic. Samson came across as such a conceited asshat.

Yeah man, I love it. I love how the first thing he does after becoming a "superhero" is to make a move on Betty Ross. I love how the second thing he does is to visit a tailor. Protecting the public good really wasn't much of a concern for him. Then he picks a fight he must know he'll lose. There's so many layers there.
