What is a Magic Girl anyway? (Patreon)

I've thought about doing some "Magic Girl" type transformations. I don't know how it's officially defined. I tend to think of Sailor Moon, She Ra, and Cutey Honey as good examples. The outfit transformation is generally more important than any changes to the physique. It's not that the body can't change, just that it's not the emphasis.  

I tried drawing a lot of flowery gowns and skirts but the designs that felt the most fun were more brawler-types. There are two distinct characters at this point. One you may see in a comic, one you may see in an animation.
