Slerm Queen Refsheet (Patreon)

The Slerm queen is a very big, slimy and almost blind mother-slug, which often nests in the middle of a Slem hive. They are the strongest and most powerful kind of Slerm known so far and also the most infectious when it comes to transformations. Slerm queens feed on mucous plants that grow around a bigger hive.

While the slime of a Slerm queen triggers the transformation into a Slerm Grub, their eggs serve multiple purposes. For one, they keep the Grubs in the nest well fed. secondly, the eggs trigger a transformation into both, a slerm Wet Nurse (if swallowed) or a new queen. 

An infected victim that is destined to become a new queen can also be released from the hive again, since the incubation time can take up to 3 days.

Mind controlled by the inner slug, the infected victim soon starts to desperately search for a wet and dark place, before it´s legs start to turn into slimy tentacles and the primary sex turns into a Slerm ovipositor. Once settled down in a wet and dark habitat, the body of the victim slowly starts to transform into a giant slug.

Soon after a Slerm queen has settled in an area, the habitat itself starts to change and mutate.

The transformative slime of the Queen keeps the area moist and sticky, while batches of slugs hatch out of unused eggs. 

If a hive grows bigger with more grubs, Slerm queens start to over- feed either a new victim or one of the grubs to create Wet Nurses that help storing and feeding the hive.
