Deep Sea Snappers are also known as the “Mothers of Muranes”. Unlike other Snappers, These creatures rarely hunt in packs actively and only attack if someone gets too close to them.

Studies of the species had lead to the conclusion that most Deep Sea Snappers are drawn towards ancient underwater ruins and often guard these.

Another exception of the race is that their TF is permanent and they are not able to reproduce in a natural way. (In ancient sailor-myths, they are also just called ,,The Cursed”)

Their long tongue is used to fertilize other Sea-Snappers, making them spawn a batch of muranes a few days after. These muranes can become really big over time, but seem to have no further purpose. (Besides attacking and catching new victims.)

The Kiss of a Deep-Sea Snapper is highly transformative and once kissed, there is no hope for the victim to turn back to normal.

The victims body starts to bulge with new muscles, the face slowly morphs while the new tongue develops and finally a first batch of Muranes bursts out of them.

After that, the victim usually starts to behave like the other snappers, voluntairily fertilizing them to produce more muranes and guarding the place she now calls home.

Latest researches of ancient stones have revealed that Deep-Sea Snappers might be guardians or heralds of another race, that is still slumbering on the ocean ground.

Maybe this new race might solve the riddle about the sterility and incurable transformation (or curse) of the Dee Sea Snappers.
