before starting with the sequence, here are some infos about the golgon race:

Golgons are elementals of mud and are neither "good" nor "evil" They are pretty playful and enjoy to catch (especially pretty) persons to turn them into mud-creatures. Some Merrans believe, golgons are ceralls that did bad or nasty things, and became "dirty" because of that.

They laugh a lot, and turn into liquid mud that can move pretty fast under the right circumstances. Sometimes they hide in pools and wait for a victim until its too late, since their mud itself is transformative.

A Golgon Victim can be healed within the first 72 hours after TF. To do that, the person has to be exposed to heat, so the mud turns to earth, giving free the old body. 

After 72 hours, the victim body had turned into mud completely, and it is very hard to heal them. Afther the same time, the mud becomes transformative for others as well.
