Just a little portrait doodle I made, after I saw this very expression that I really like, a couple of days ago. I really go for that deviliscious look. Makes my artistic fire flare up. It's rare, actually. I don't see it much. 

My inclination to paint someone I don't know has actually dwindled over the years.
I have done many portraits like this, some years ago, but even though most subjects loved it, it did generate way too many requests for free art by really random people and in a few cases even some negativity. So, I decided that was enough. I still did a couple since, but I kept it very incidental and rare and most of the time I just changed the subject into someone unknown before posting. Just to avoid any undesired flak.
I don't paint photos anyway. I only use them as a reference for likeness, which makes it mine.

Anyway, this is inspired by @jenncole2000 on Twitter. You might find the selfie that inspired me there (I added much though). I don't think she's a model, but could be one for me, nonetheless, and I could actually make a book with her just because she's expressive. That works so well and could be the basis of a series or even a graphic novel. That won't happen of course, because she's far far away and I'd only consider such a huge project if it would be a true cooperation.
But it was really nice to work on this. I asked of course if I should mention her or not. If she had declined I would have changed this one to someone unknown too by the way. But she liked what I painted and didn't mind the credit either.
